Where in the world is prostitution legalized?

Hi. I have a question I hope you dont mind me asking. What are the countries in which prostitution is legalized? I have been traveling around quite a lot and in Denmark I was in one hotel where they offered services. I didnt know this in advance but the hotel (a seamans hotel) had PICTURES in the bathroom of all the various options on offer, for people who didnt speak the language!

I am not sure whether it is actually legal in Denmark. As far as I now the Netherlands is the only country where prostitution as such is completely legal. Whores pay taxes and everything. But escort services I believe are available the whole world over and although not legal, they are kind of loophole-legal as the girls are supposed to socially accompany you and whatever else happens is between you.
