My husband and I are planning a trip to the Costa Alegre in Mexico. After all, we don't want to go to one of those tourist hot spots where I can see hardly anything but Americans all day long. He is insisting on going around Gringo Day on the Costa Alegre. When is that taking place?

I have been to the Costa Alegre more than once and I have to shamefully admit that I have no idea when Gringo Day is taking place. Further more, I have no idea what Gringo Day actually is. Can you tell me more about that please? And then, I am sure someone else will be able to tell you when it is.
