What was your travel in Florence like?

This year I am going to Italy. I will be staying one week in Rome and one week in Florence. I am familiar with Rome, I have been there three times so far but Florence is not that known to me. So, did you go there? What was your travel in Florence like?

I have also been to Rome, and Venice, but I have never been to Florence too. But my friend has been there and he has returned wit nothing but pleasant memories. He said that architectural style was one of the many things that made him feel so excited. So, I guess you will be enjoying those great stuff yourself.
