| Well, I must say I was pleasantly surprised with Moscow. Before I went there I had read a lot about its beauty and attractions, but somehow I didnt think it would amaze me. Maybe I was a bit prejudiced because I thought that the communist era destroyed everything worth seeing there, and I expected a grey, bleak city inhabited with sad, poor people and I encountered a stunning, glittering city with magnificent buildings and museums, and realized that Tsarist Russia never disappeared. And I was wrong about the poverty part, because it turned out that Moscow is one of the most expensive cities in the world. For sure your impressions wont be lukewarm! |
