What's traffic in A tlanta like?

I plan to go to Atlanta. I am fond of Olympic Games and want to see the city where they were held in 1996. I want to see the Central Olympic Park. I also heard that there are nice shopping centers as well s many museums of art, botanic gardens etc. Since I travel by plane and not by car, I am a little worried because I heard that there is a terrific traffic jam in Atlanta. I don't know how I will get from one place to another.

Yes, that's the problem with Atlanta. The congestion in traffic is such that accidents happen more often than in other cities. Thousands of people go to and from work every day and the same highways are constantly busy. HOV (high-occupancy-vehicle) lanes reduced the traffic jam, but they suppose sharing a car by several people when commuting. However, people do not practice it and there is little benefit from HOV lanes generally. The newest idea for possible solution of the problem is building a tunnel system but the local government members cannot agree what places it should connect. Moreover, a tunnel would cost billions of dollars. You should be very careful when you go to Atlanta.
