What's Italy Lake District like?

I always wanted to see Italy and it seems that I will have the chance this year. My boyfriend is also excited about the trip and I hope we will make a good itinerary. We are going to spend a week in Rome and after that we will go to another destination, not yet determined. So, what’s Lake District in Italy like? Perhaps we could go there…

I think that after Rome, Lake District would be a perfect spot for you two. You could go and stay at one of the hotels there or you could take a day trip from Rome and see all interesting things in short time. There are three lakes that are tourist attraction – Maggiore, Lugano and Como, each of those three is well arranged and great sightseeing spot.
