What is the best snorkeling place in Yucatan?

My sister and I are going on holiday together in a few months' time and we have talked about Mexico, especially Yucatan, a lot recently. The thing is that we would love to get active and have already agreed that we will definitely go snorkelling. What is the best snorkeling place in Yucatan?

There are two islands just across the bay from Cancun that are really wonderful both for snorkelling and for other underwater activities like scuba diving. They are the Isla Mujeres and Cozumel, and I definitely think you should choose them for your snorkelling adventure. Some of the most wonderful coral reefs are right there.
