| Well, all of the major cities are all relatively close to each other. However you will find that each one of them is unique. Also, they are not too big. None of them has more than one million inhabitants. My (and everybody else’s) first choice is Amsterdam, of course. It is really something special and you should stay at least few days there to explore its canals, historic city centre and museums as well as many impressive buildings. However, you should definitely visit the cities of The Hague, Groningen, Delft, Utrecht, Haarlem, and Maastricht and explore their museums, historic buildings, traditions and attractions. If you like modern architecture such as Erasmus Bridge (locally called “Swan”) and marvel gigantic sites then you shouldn’t miss Rotterdam since it has the greatest port in the world. Also, there are many interesting villages, towns and areas of natural beauty along the coastline. |
