What can you do on the Blue Mountains, Australia?

What can you do on the Blue Mountains in Australia? I’m going there to visit some relatives and they live in Sydney so they have told me that we’ll visit the most attractive tourist places in this city and the nearby area. They have mentioned Blue Mountains and when one mentions Sydney what I imagine is the ocean and not some mountain range. Is it worth visiting those mountains?

Oh yes! The Blue Mountains are situated about 50 kilometers away from Sydney and they’re very beautiful. The scenery at certain parts resembles the one that can be seen in the Great Canyon of Colorado. There are numerous tourist hotspots. For example, you can have a ride at breathtaking Katoomba Scenic Railway. It’s about 400 meters long and you are going to have a brilliant view on the sandstone scenery. Then, there are the Giant Staircase. Apart form the natural beauties you can also visit some museums such as The Toy Museum at Leura or Norman Lindsay Museum and Gallery. So, I think that you’re going to like this place and that besides the fact that I also consider the coastline of Australia to be more attractive, this is also a great place.
