What can teenage boys do in New York City? My son is going to visit his grandparents in NYC. I’m not so thrilled about that since they’re my ex-husband’s parents so I can’t accompany him and he’s never been to such a big city. Do you think he will be able to manage on his own there? I’m a bit upset.

Oh, you shouldn’t be worried at all! New York is full of opportunities for a young man. He’s going there to his grandparents and I’m sure that they can take care of him properly. There are various things that he can do there. I remember that when I was younger I read that wonderful book “Catcher in the Rye”. All the time I wanted to go and visit the places that the main protagonist was visiting. So, I’ll suggest you couple of places from the book. Hayden Planetarium is something that will surely occupy a boy’s attention. It’s a wonderful museum and he’s going to be completely enchanted. Then, the Museum of Natural History is also worth visiting. Dinosaur skeletons and various species are just what each kid wants to see.
