My boyfriend wants to take me to Surinam and several other countries in South America. I have never been there and don’t know anyone who has so I don’t know what to expect. He is interesting in visiting some nice national park. What can I expect from Brownsberg National Park?

There are several interesting plant and animal species that can be found there. The park is covered by neotropical rainforest where hundreds of different species reside. There are three major vegetation types in the park. In creek valleys at the base of the mountain you can find Pina Palm which belongs to hydrophytic vegetation. Different tree species including the Groenheart, Ingipipa, Letterhout/Snakewood, Cedar and Purpleheart that belong to Mesophyphytic vegetation can be find on the slopes. The park is very interesting and you won’t regret visiting it.
