What are beaches on Lake Como like?

What are beaches on Lake Como like? I heard that it is one of the most attractive lakes in Europe and certainly the pearl of Italy. Many celebrities were seen and pictured walking by the lake. Many of them bought villas at Lake Como. Is it really so beautiful as they say? I plan to visit it for my Easter holidays.

Lake Como is incredibly beautiful. A friend of mine spends his summer holiday regularly at Lake Como. Italy has done a lot to make this natural beauty one of the best tourist locations because many villages were built round the Lake and they are supplied with everything you may need while on vacation – shops, cafes, boutiques, solariums, bakeries, pizza restaurants. So, one may be at Lake Como for a month and not feel cut off from civilization. On the other hand, Lake Como provides the tranquility and peacefulness of nature. So, it is really perfect. However, I wasn't there and can't tell you anything about the beaches. I suppose they're fantastic.
