What are French and Italian Rivierias like in December?

I love cruising but I would miss it this summer for I will be very busy with my job so I want be able cruising before December. Anyway I planed on having some Mediterranean cruising this year and I prefer cruising French and Italian cost I am interested what their Rivieras are like in December and is it worth visiting these costs in this period of the year.

Well the way I see it visiting French and Italian by cruising is worth at any part of the year though I prefer doing it during summer vacations for there is much bigger crowd on ships and cruising in December despite luxurious cruise ships. But still you may have some escorted shore excursions which are always good having in any time of the year though keep in mind you may not be able to swim for the sea water is very cold in December and the beaches are almost empty though you still could have a great time at Saint Trope for example. Anyway I advice you get some Costa cruise for those ships usually also have some covered pools and you may swim no matter the weather outside and besides this those ships are usually provided with gyms and fitness centers so you want get bored.
