Vulcano eruptions on the Big Island?

Hello! My husband and me are geologists, but the most of our work is dedicated explorations of European basins. Since, we were planning to visit the Big Island for a long time, we are interesting to take a closer look at volcanoes. Can you give us more specific informations about it. Thank you very much.

Hi! The best way to see it is in the night. Im sure you wont forget that magnificent red colors of lava and the boiling ocean. If you can, and I think you should, hire helicopter. The birds view is excellent experience. Pilots are knowledgeable about the subject and there are some great Circle of Fire tours you must take. Its worth the money.
