| I know it is a fascinating area but I never figured out what is there to be seen, apart, well sand. But if you are willing to go there, it is as you probably know located along U.S. Highway 70/82, and for your information opened almost every day. Being the missile testing area, White Sands is in some days closed for visiting, so you could call and check up before you head to its direction. I guess you could go for dunes drive tour by car or bus, but be prepared and take gallons of water with you for that occasion. Midnight bicycling is considered as a fun, although I always wondered how the sliding would go. Then I think, considering my luck I would probably fall on my nose and White S. would serve me a nice sandy launch, LOL. |
