Visiting Muerren for the first time

Hi. This winter my wife and I will visit Muerren for the first time and we could do with some tips. I do know that the place itself is not very big and I saw several possibilities for hotels but I am not sure which one to choose. None of it really impressed me so far and I thought it is best to hear from personal experience. Also is it hard to do the hike into Luaterbrunnen?

First of all I want to warn you that Switzerland is a very expnsive country in case you were not aware of this. I advise the two of you to get a ski pass that covers several areas (I forget which ones, look it up). As for the hotel, the hotel Eiger is a nice place, which I would recommend you. Enjoy yourselves!
