| It is funny that you mentioned this region since many people overlook Central Turkey because the Mediterranean coastline seems much more attractive. You are right in assuming that this is truly fascinating area. There are so many things to see there. Many people choose to visit this region by day tours. Many Mother Nature wonders like mushroom shapes and giant fingers attract many tourists so there are cheap hotels, tour companies, carpet shops and good restaurants all around. I suggest you visit the open air museum of Zelve, many caves within rock pillars and a massive underground city. Also, you shouldn’t miss Pammukale, a small town with the amazing towering mountain. Snow-white terraced pools have been created from the calcium rich rock by the thermal hot springs. You can enjoy many hours lying in the warm water overlooking the plain. It is said that the white mud that accumulates on the pool bottom has magical healing powers. You will enjoy this trip for sure. |
