I am a passionate bird watcher and am planning on going to Madagascar or more precisely I am planning on visiting Andohahela this year. Anyway I have already arranged my stay there in Madagascar in Berenty reserve. Anyway I know the nature there is something I shouldn’t miss but I am curios actually how am I supposed to organize my visiting Andohahela trip-is there any place to sleep the night over and what the conditions are.

You may have a drive by Air Fort services there from Berenty Reserve and it takes about 1 hour to reach Andohahela Reserve-recently proclaimed as NP and anyway there are few entrances there to get into Andohahela but one that is open for tourist entrance is called Tsimelahy –and I think there is one more entrance to Andohahela for tourist but I have entered there using Tsimelahy. Anyway Tsimelahy is located within 2 mountain areas with different forest areas there-spiny forest in the north and the rainy forest in the south of the area and sure there is a place to stay there in Andohahela –I personally stayed at a campsite there located on the Antarantsy Lake where you can even swimming and with all conditions provided-running water, toilet as well as with washing area. And visiting Andohahela is just perfect for bird watchers for there is such rich bird life for you may see there some really rare bird spices such as Madagascar Paradise Flycatchers or Yellow-billed Kites but also there are also some other animals to see such as chameleons and all sorts of lizards and not to mention the vegetation there-it is fantastic place to visit.
