| Hi everyone! I am travelling to Thailand and Singapore soon, and since I am a strict vegetarian, I wouldnt like it to influence my diet. I know that travelling to Asia is not very demanding when it comes to vegetarianism, cause their national food is based on cereals and vegetables, but I also know that they tend t put chicken and pork into almost everything. How to star vegetarian there? |

| Hey there! I am a vegetarian myself, and since I have been to Thailand I think I ,might be helpful. When it comes to Bangkok, you will have n problem there finding an adequate vegetarian meal, cause almost every block has something to offer to vegetarians. The easisest solution is to request in the ordinary restauraunt the food to be made without meat, so few phrases such as Mai chai gai , which (meaning no chicken) can be useful. The island of Phuket is famous for its vegetarian festival, but has few vegetarian restauraunts. As I said for Bangkok, you can just demand the restauraunts to serve you food with no meat. I advise yo to avoid street vendors, not becuase they wont serve you a vegetarian meal, but because they are not very clean. |
