The time of my trip to Tanzania is really near. I did almost all preparations, and completed my packing list. But there are also a few things I am wondering about. First I am looking for a place that gets me right off the tourist trail? I want to climb Kilimanjaro, but I think that I wouldnt have enough time. Is there some smaller mountain? Thanks.

Hello to you. I also inquired about those things, when I was first visiting Tanzania. I see that youre quite adventurer. So, there is one thing you should visit and that doesnt belong to the standard tourist offer. There is one national park that is located in northwestern corner of Tanzania on the shore of Lake Tanganyika. It is quite adventure, because it includes a taxi ride over the lake from Kigoma. You can watch chimpanzees, swim in the lake or hike through the Gombe fores. Considering climbing, there is Mount Meru. It has similar alpine trekking. It is not so hard to get to the peak, and once you get to the top you can enjoy the view that is absolutely amazing. Have a nice time.
