Being an American citizen of Jewish origin, my great wish has always been to visit the country of my ancestors. But the problem is I dont have any relatives in Jerusalem and I dont have a place to stay. Thats why I need some information about traveler friendly hostel/hotel in Old City of Jerusalem.I would also like it to be comfortable and not too expensive.

Shalom. Its so nice that you want to go back to your roots, and soak up the energy from the source of your original nation. I hope that you know what places to visit. The Wailing Wall is one of the most significant symbols of Jewish nation and you mustnt miss seeing it for the world. As for the hostels, there is a decent hostel in the centre of the Old City, near the Jaffa Gate. It is called Citadel Youth Hostel, and I heard that their staff are very friendly. Besides it is near several markets and other important spots. You can also check out Jaffa Gate Hostel near the same location.
