Hello there! I’m considering the idea of spending my winter vacation in Canada. The city where I intend to be is Calgary because I like winter sports and I know that this city was the host of winter Olympic Games and I suppose that there are numerous possibilities for that. But as I’m not going to be in the downtown I would like to know if there are some transportation problems in the Calgary region.
As far as I know, Canada is a country where almost everything functions properly including all kinds of transportation. But since you are going there in winter time, I suppose that some minor problem may occur due to the snowfall and weather condition. I am not sure if they are constant, but though you are not going to be in the downtown, I think that you won’t have much problem to get anywhere you want when you want. I just suggest you not to travel by car as it is better and much faster to use the rail system or bus transportation.
I have never been in Calgary but this city seems great to me. I don’t know where did you get the idea about transportation problems. Anyway, even if there are some transportation problems I see no reason for you not to go there for your vacation as this city is one of the best for winter sports. As a matter of fact I think that that due to the fact that there were Winter Olympics in Calgary, it is only logical that the infrastructure of this city is good and that there are few transportation even during the winter. When you get there you will see how the situation is.
