Hi, there. I am lately thinking of visiting Middle East. Ive never been in Syria and I would like to get to know that country. Has anyone got any experience with Syria as a traveling distination? I would like to hear some impressions. It would mean much to me. Thanks in advance.

Syria is an interesting country for sightseeing. Although Syria isnt a favorite country for US government, people there are friendly. Syria has an exceptional historic and architectural heritage that is worth seeing. The best time of the year to go there is spring and by that I mean March to May. The temperatures then are the best for visiting. If you cant do it then, try with autumn. Avoid summer or winter. If you go during some school break, then youll need to book an accommodation in advance. If you visit Syria during Ramadan, you must know the policy of some cafes during that period. There is no alcohol in cantinas and it is better for you not to drink one in public. Also avoid any kind of protests and political demonstrations. I hope youll enjoy your staying there.
