Howdy. In two weeks I will be in Sidney. I cant wait to get out of home a little. I have decided to explore Sidney on my own. Ill need some kind of public transportation. I guess the best thing it would be for me to use the bus. Can someone tell me their own experiences about Sidney City Buses? Thanks.
Hello. Sidney is great, I totally adore it. They have an excellent City Bus organization. They connect different parts of wider Sidney, but also areas around Sidney. Every day they transport around 600.000 people. They even organize Sidney Explorer and Bondi Explorer. It is a tourist service that allows you to view Sidney. But I guess you wont need that since youll be on your own. You can find everything that you are interested over the internet, Im sure. Have a nice time there. Bye!
Most parts of the metropolitan area are served by buses, many of which follow the pre-1961 tram routes. In the city and inner suburbs the state-owned Sydney Buses has a monopoly. In the outer suburbs, service is contracted to many private bus companies. Construction of a network of rapid bus transitways in areas not previously well served by public transport began in 1999, and the first of these, the Liverpool–Parramatta Rapid Bus Transitway, opened in February 2003.
