| Hi everyone, I am Jessica, from Ireland. I will be staying in Bangkok for three days next week, and I would like to get the most out of my time there. Never been to Asia before, and honestly I am a bit reserved when it comes to other cultures. Besides, when I think about Bangkok all I can imagine is a crowd and an intense smell of seafood on the streets...I heard that I shouldnt miss seeing Sukhumvit Road, for it is the main shopping area, but I am a bit afraid I might get lost in the traffic. What can I expect there? |

| Dear Jessica, you shouldnt be afraid of getting lost in the traffic in Bangkok, even though it really might happen in the city of that size. It is a city many tourists visit, so you will find someone who speaks English and who might show you the way on every corner. As for the Sukhumvit Road, it is easily accessible, although crowded, with often traffic jams. There are many shopping centers in Sukhumvit, such as Central World Plaza, Emporium Shopping Center, Mahboonkrong, Siam Paragon per example. But before you go shopping, you should know precisely what you are looking for and ask around where is the best for you to go. When you are there, be sure not to miss a traditional Thai massage treatment. There are many massage joints around Sukhumvit. |
