Hello, there. I am from London and I was thinking of having some romantic getaway with my girlfriend. I was thinking of visiting Scotland. Ive heard there are some excellent castles to see and it would be even better if we could stay there. I was hoping to meet someone here who has actually done this. His impressions would mean a lot to me. Bye!

Hello, my friend. I think your idea is fantastic. Scottish castles are very romantic places. You can choose between the ones in the North of Scotland, Central Scotland or in the South of Scotland. They are rated differently. Some of them are very luxurious and have 5 stars. I stayed with my husband in Borthwick Castle. It is about 12 miles from Edinburgh. It is great to eat in the medieval atmosphere. Our castle was built somewhere in 15th century. Some castles are made to be something like youth hostels. Carbisdale Castle is that kind of castle, but it was built in the beginning of 20th century. My friend went to Castle Sinclair. She said it was very isolated and it is perfect escape from city crowd. Enjoy!
