Spending Christmas in Australia ?

I have never spent Christmas out of my town. It has always been traditional Christmas with snow and turkey and Christmas tree. This year I’ve decided to try something different. I’m planning to go in Australia for Christmas. What can I expect there? They are celebrating Christmas, I know that, but how?

Well first thing that I can tell you is to forget snow. As you probably know, Christmas in Australia is in the middle of summer. Most of people in Australia celebrate Christmas on a traditional way with turkey and everything. Many people are going to a picnic on a beach. Bondi Beach in Sydney is full on 25th December with people that having they Christmas picnic. Anyway, it is very interesting change to someone who has use to on snow and fireplace for Christmas.
