Ive recently got a new job and wont be entitled to annual leave until late September, meaning Ill miss the summer holidays Sad. Im now thinking about going to Spain or Portugal as soon as possible, so late September/early October. Ill probably be going with two friends. Is this an OK time to be visiting these counties, and can we still enjoy the sea?

This is the best to go! The weather will be warm and dry, but not too hot. Also as you will miss the holiday season the hotels will be cheaper. You will not be bothered by too much of a crowd either. Id say your employer has done you and your friends a favour! I have been to both Spain and Portugal and whichever of the two you will choose, rest assured you will have a nice holiday!
