| I must tell you about the outrageous thing that happened to me in Istanbul last week! I was driving in a cab with my husband and when we reached our destination and wanted to pay, we realized that the cab driver didnt turn on the meter. He was trying to persuade us that we were supposed to tell him to do that, otherwise he thought we didnt want to drive by the meter, and he asked 200USD for that ride, and we had to pay. |

| Ouch! You should know better than that! Cab drivers can be very cunning and when going to another country or a city, always check which taxi services are trustworthy, because what youve told us is the story Ive heard several times and all the cases were in another country. So what you should do is check an official city guide where, I believe, the numbers of appropriate taxi services are listed. And, of course, if you happen to be in similar situation, its a good idea to pay for the ride, because law is not the same everywhere and you can end up being accused of refusing to pay for it, and somewhere its quite a criminal act. |
