Hello, people. Each year I celebrate Christmas in Washington where I live and I am little tired of it. I decided to visit South and see how people there enjoy themselves for this holiday. I have a dilemma whether to visit Savannah or Charlottesville around Christmas. Where can you sense the real festive atmosphere? Thanks.

Well, hello. I know what you mean. Ten years ago I started changing the place where I would celebrate my Christmas with my friends. Each year we visit different place. I think that it is better for you to visit Savannah. It isnt ruined in Civil War, so the original houses and parks are still preserved. When we were there, the weather was great. If you have time, you can spend several nights in Ritz Carlton at Amelia Island which is in Florida, but near Savannah. They know to how to organize Christmas celebrations. But if youre not in a hurry, then visit Charlottesville as well, so you can compare impressions yourselves.
