Safety levels in Colombia? This is what I am interested at more then anything else. If you take into consideration this newly developed political situation I don't think that safety is number one concern for government out there. Is it safe to bring your family there, or should I wait for a while? I have no idea on what to do.

You never know about safety levels in Columbia. One day it is all green and the next is all red. It all depends why are you going to Colombia and why are you bringing your family. If I were in your shoes I would leave the family behind. But I guess if you are bringing family with you it must be some kind of vacation, probably not a business trip. Unless you have a family business. If you add everything up you should know that it is not a particularly safe place to be, but it is not much more dangerous then some parts of the USA.
