Safety at the Bangkok airport for girls traveling alone

I am traveling to Singapore by plane. I am only 18 and I am traveling alone. It really makes me scared. Moreover, I will have a three hour layover at the Bangkok airport. I feel inconvenient about it. It is a night layover and I don't know what could happen to me. Is the Bangkok airport safe for the girls traveling alone? Anyone has the similar experience?

I traveled alone the same route when I was sixteen. I was also afraid in the beginning but as soon as I reached the Bangkok airport, I saw that it is well guarded by the people working there and that nobody could hurt me. There were many tourists waiting for a night flight. If someone tried to do something to me, there were many people who could see it. I was afraid of being kidnapped. When I think of it now, it seems funny to me to have been thinking like that. Now I am 24 and could travel alone anywhere. I tried to kill time by reading a book, but then I saw a cute old couple who were drinking tea in an airport restaurant and asked them if I could join them. They saw how young I am and invited me to stay with them until my plane departs.

Bangkok airport is SERIOUSLY my favorite airport anywhere. It's organized perfectly, the shopping is amazing, and the airport itself is beautiful.
I spent a month in Thailand and I've almost never felt safer anywhere, you really have nothing to be worried about.
Just be smart, keep your bags ON you, and you'll be absolutely fine.
