| I traveled alone the same route when I was sixteen. I was also afraid in the beginning but as soon as I reached the Bangkok airport, I saw that it is well guarded by the people working there and that nobody could hurt me. There were many tourists waiting for a night flight. If someone tried to do something to me, there were many people who could see it. I was afraid of being kidnapped. When I think of it now, it seems funny to me to have been thinking like that. Now I am 24 and could travel alone anywhere. I tried to kill time by reading a book, but then I saw a cute old couple who were drinking tea in an airport restaurant and asked them if I could join them. They saw how young I am and invited me to stay with them until my plane departs. |
