Reaching Darjeeling?

A big hello for all of you!!! I am counting down the days until I am leaving for India! I am so much looking forward to the trip! Most of the itinerary is already done but there is one thing I forgot to plan in but really want to see. It is Darjeeling. The problem is that I have no idea how to get there. I am happy to fit it in any way possible, so any general info would be great.

You can reach it from Bagdogra airport and then take a bus or taxi. I recommend this as the easiest way of getting to Darjeeling. But it also has a railway station with connections to all major cities in India. You can also reach the place by car the roads are quite OK. And if you want, there are buses from Calcutta.
