Hello from Gotham City! My 12-old son shocked me a bit recently when he said he didnt know the number of states in America. He also has no idea where certain cities and states are, so Ive decided to take him whenever its possible to another part of the country to get to know it better. I have this business trip to Portland, Oregon next week and Im taking him with me. Tell me something about the scenery there.
Welcome to the city of roses in the beaver state! Im probably a little biased since I adore this city, but scenery is wonderful. Could it be any different if we take into consideration its climate, which is like the Mediterranean meaning rainy winters and dry summers? This is especially ideal for growing roses. The city also cherishes its numerous parks and green areas for which it is famous. Be sure to visit Forest Park one of the largest in the USA and the kid will be delighted to see the Oregon Zoo which is comprised of several natural environments like savannah, Alaskan tundra Or Amazon flooded forest. Portland also takes pride in its rich cultural life and various artistic institutions such as Oregon Ballet Theatre or the Portland Art Museum.
