Planning my first trip to South Africa

I am finally going to South Africa. I dont think you could get even close to idea how excited I am about this trip. This is my first time that I will step into this land and I want to spend this time in best possible way. I am now making plans how and what to see, so I am opened here for your suggestions. Pass me your wisdom about main attractions in South Africa! I am even opened for getting info about transportation and rental car possibilities, anything that you did I am interested to hear.

I have never been there so I will just tell you what I would do if I was at your place. I think you are aware of the fact that Johannesburg and Cape Town are main destinations that have to be seen while you are in South Africa. I will stay focused on Cape Town cause I was planning few years ago to go there but something came up so I never managed to make it come true. Beach in the Cape Town is really amazing and there are many things that can be done on Cape peninsula. See Fishhoek fishing village, Muizenberg and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens and enjoy in its beauty during your walk. You could consider taking a tour that includes these spots. If you are taking a break to get some nice meal then try to pick a restaurant which is owned by some of the wineries, trust me you wont regret tasting them. Le Quartier Francais and Haute Cabriere in Franschhoek have got excellent reviews from my friends; lucky souls went to South Africa last year. I dont think that you should miss your chance to go on safari tour that for sure is under MUST have been done!
