Hi, Im going to Hawaii next month with a larger group of people. I consider us to be great adventurers because as we travel we seek challenge. First we are going to Hilo and then from there we were thinking of going all the way across the island to Kona. Were aware of the fact that this is going to be a tough ride but also wouldnt want to miss out anything. So we were wondering what are the places to see between Hilo and Kona?

Hello, that is quite a ride youre going to have indeed. The ride from Hilo and Kona isnt that long itself but there really is much to see. Hawaii is a beautiful island and it offers visitors a lot of great things to see, especially the scenic nature with its preserved wildlife. On the way from Hilo it is best that you drive along the coast because this way you will be able to see its famous black san beaches. The Volcano NP is not to be missed. Personally my favorite are the Akaka Falls. I was so fascinated by the strength of the falling water which sort of forms a straight line when you look at it from a distance. The air there is like nowhere else, slightly moisturized by the waterfalls and mixed with all the evaporations of the thick forest all around. These are just a few of the places you should see, there are of course lots more which you will discover as you go. Have a nice one.
