Hi. Im Peggy from Seattle. Road to Avonlea is my favorite TV show ever. Whenever I watch it I want to go and see the beautiful scenery of Nova Scotia, where it takes place. I learned that winters are pretty harsh there, so I decided to visit it this September. My itinerary will encompass Halifax and Prince Edward Island. Can you tell me what kind of weather I can expect?

Hello Peggy! We can establish a fan club now. I think that Road to Avonlea wouldnt be such a great show if it hadnt been filmed on such beautiful locations. Nova Scotia and, especially, Prince Edward Island, are one of the main protagonists of the show. The climate is not so mild there, indeed. But thats one of its charms, because winter idyll in Nova Scotia looks like a scene depicted on some old-fashioned Xmas post card. But in September you can expect pleasant weather. The temperatures do not go over 20 C, which is just fine. The problems are only occasional hurricanes that occur from time to time. But I think youll have a lovely time there. Say hello to Green Gables for me!
