| I need more information about new ferry between Bursa and Istanbul. I’m going there for may vacation and since I don’t want to spend my whole vacation in just one place I’d like to find out as much as possible about the transportation to various nearby cities so that I can visit them during my stay. Thanks in advance! |

| Bursa is a very big city and I really think that you won’t have any problem finding out everything about ferry lines when you get there. I know that ferry covers the distance from Istanbul to the coast where Bursa is situated (and vice versa) for about an hour and a half. After that you should go by a minibus to the main terminal of Bursa metro and this portion of trip should take about another half an hour and finally when you get there, 15 more minutes will be necessary to reach Bursa’s city centre. According to new summer schedule there will be a couple of departures to and from Istanbul on this line. |

Here is some good info:
from Istanbul to Bursa:
3-4 hours by bus. There is a bus every half an hour. About USD 10
By seabus to Yalova (1 hour) and taking the bus from Yalova to Bursa (1 hour). Total about USD 10.
There are a few seabus services every day.
Air: You can fly to Bursa in about 30 minutes. But it will take you more time to get to the airport in Istanbul and out of Bursa airport to city center. |
