Up to the bombing incidents in Casablanca this spring, I thought that Morocco was a moderately safe country and thats why I booked an apartment for my family there. I hope that situation hasnt changed much, but sometimes I feel uncomfortable and anxious when I think that my kids and wife may be at risk there for some reason. Am I overreacting?

When it comes to our beloveds safety, its only logical to be concerned. Of course, I dont imply that you have any reason to worry, because accidents happen all over the world, and there are no guarantees that a place is 100 safe from any kind of danger. But I think you should collect yourself and follow the instructions given by your embassy and foreign affair department. Morocco is, apart from the unfortunate bombing, still a safe country. Terrorism is a threat to each region, but what may calm you is the fact that the crime rates are very low in Morocco and that sanitary conditions are good. You should only avoid buying food on the street and keep your bags and purses close to you. As you can se, only basic measures of precaution from petty crime are necessary. I guess youll maybe need vaccinations for hepatitis B and C.
