Brazil has always been an enigma to me and I guess that is why we are spending our third vacation in last five years there. We have been to Rio and even went down the Amazon and now it is time to visit Salvador and stay at Marazul hotel. Do you know anything about this hotel? Is it good?
I think that you will be very satisfied with the accommodation in that hotel. It has 116 rooms and 8 suites. It is very affordable and rooms are always clean and arranged nicely. Rooms have view on ocean and bay, they all have air conditioning, and there is a hotel pool, cable TV, and excellent restaurant of course.
I think Marazul Hotel was ok for my expectations. Very simple, but ok. My room was very basic, but clean, with partial view to the beach. The location is great: in a few minutes you can go the Porto da Barra Beach, very nice. Also close to Farol da Barra, one of the most famous places of Salvador, where you can eat an "acarajé", traditional food from Bahia. Breakfast is very good, with some of typical food from Bahia, fruits, juices, cereals, cakes, breads, ham, cheeses, etc.
Staff is friendly. I'll back to Marazul for sure. But if you like only luxury places, avoid it.
Oh yes, and there is a nice pool too.
