Los Flamingos Hotel in Acapulco?

My brother asked me to be his best man at the wedding. Of course, Ive accepted that honorable proposition and now I have to choose an appropriate wedding present. Im thinking about a honeymoon journey to Mexico. In my opinion Acapulco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I think its a great honeymoon resort. What do you think about Los Flamingos Hotel there?

Acapulco is a way overrated place! But thats only my opinion. Ive been there couple of times and every time I expected it to be spectacular, which never happened. Im not saying that its boring or that its not beautiful, I just think it has become too fashionable and that it has lost much of its old-fashioned Mexican spirit in order to be turned into American-like tourist resort. Its not genuine any more. The hotel youre asking about is quite decent. It has great ocean vistas and rooms are nice although not very luxurious. You probably dont know that two film stars owned this place once. One of them is John Wayne and the others name I cant remember, but I know that he played Tarzan.
