Looking for an apartment in Paris

Does anyone know what it would cost to rent an apartment in Paris? What's the cheapest deal I can find in a nice and safe area? I know that there is no hundred percent safe area, but safer then areas with riots all over the place! Can you suggest me some organization on agency that can help me to find best place for money that I have?

As is always the case, the cost depends on many factors, such as size, amenities, location and condition. I would recommend checking FUSAC (France USA Contacts) and the Paris Voice, cause its good place to start the search. You can also look on the internet, but you'll have to weed through a lot of overpriced listings to find the good deals, but they do exist. Cheapest price is 700 euro in some safer area of the city.
