Hello. For this summer I have planned to go to Hawaii, Maui on a holiday. I have never been there. But the fact is that I am not so big lover of sea, sand and palms. So I have heard from my friend that there is some hidden cottage in the forests. Is it true? Thanks for help.

Hello to you. I am also great fan of nature, more than sand and sun. I have just come back from my vacation in Maui. The thing is that cottage is not so hidden. It is located on the western flank of Maui's massive Haleakala volcano. It is called hidden because it is tucked away in private corners. You can walk out your front door, if you want, and hike for hours on the lush Maui trails on the northern slopes of Haleakala. There is almost everything you could need: full kitchen, bedroom with king size bed, bathroom, and it is all decorated in native antiques. I advise you also to bring your partner with you since there is a very private, very special bathtub for two. Thats so seductive. Wish you great stay. Cheers.

There are some cottages on the Big Island, Volcano Village, located in the rain forest. You may want to have that checked.
