My wife and I are going to St. Petersburg for a week. As we have never been to Russia before we would like to hear some suggestions about the decent hotels. Wed like it to be in a good location. We dont want it to be international chain hotel, but a local one. Can you recommend some hotels? Thank you!

Pushka Inn Hotel is then a perfect hotel for you to stay in because it is exactly the place you are looking for. It is along the Moika river bank, near the Hermitage Museum and Theatre, also it is near Palace Square, Church of Spilled Blood, the Russian Museum and Nevsky Prospect and some other essential sights. It is situated about 20 minutes walk to the Metro. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The food is delicious and it is served in the restaurant next door. If you use internet you have to pay for it, and local calls are free. In a word, its a great place.
