| Dear "Confirmed Traveller", I will pay my first visit to the parents of my finacee in Madrid, next month. Obvioiusly, I want to make a good impression! They're apparently very conservative, extremely refined and cultivated, as well as wealthy. I thought I should invite them out for an evening meal. But it should be top of the scales, a real Gourmet Restaurant. What can you recommend? |

| Dear "Madrid Conquistador", I have exactly what you need. The Restaurante Santceloni is a 'Relais Gourmand' of the Relais et Chateaux organisation, famous the world around for its non ostentatious refinement and top quality. Although in a contemporary setting, the chef Oscar Velasco and his team conjure up, in the heart of Madrid, a cuisine that is innovative and seasonal, but also aesthetic and masterly, through its creative use of freshest local ingredients. But you'll have to break your piggy bank! |
