We are two students travelling through EUROPE currently. Right now we are in Germany. We have been to Frankfurt and Berlin and now we want to visit the region of Bavaria. Of course the capital Munich is first on the list. But we would like to see other places too. We do not have that much cash and would like to find some cheap lodgings. Could you recommend something please?

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Montree which is very near the Austrian border in a lovely little mountain place. It was not expensive but full of character and the staff were ever so friendly. While it is somewhat more pricey than a Bed and Breakfast it is also of much better quality, which is essential if you want to relax. I do hope you will stop by there.

Edelweiss Park Villa is the cheapest hotel in Munich.Situated near the botanical gardens, in a quiet area on the outskirts of Munich, this attractive villa offers tastefully furnished accommodation just a short walk from Allach S-Bahn station.

It has 9 comfortable en suite rooms, including a gallery room, each with free wireless internet access.

You can help yourself to the delicious complimentary buffet breakfast, served in the cosy breakfast room every morning.

Hope you will find my post helpful.
