Ko Lanta recommendations

Howdy, strangers. I intend to go on my honeymoon to Thailand. My wife has chosen Ko Lanta. Her friend recommended it as a good resort. I would like to hear other peoples opinion. I dont have much faith in my wifes friend. She has a weird taste in things. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi, there. I was there with my wife couple of years ago. They had wonderful beaches and we did some snorkeling. However, there isnt a bigger town nearby. There are only several villages. My wife complained not having an opportunity to do shopping. People are very friendly and you can find some that speak English well. I recommend you to rent a car. In that way you can drive to other beaches and towns and maybe do some shopping if your wife wants to. Enjoy your honeymoon there!
