| Its true that the effects of monsoon season are still present in October. Its a rainy month, not as rainy as September, but the weather is not so fair then. Khao Lak is, as far as I know, one of the most exclusive resorts in Thailand. That is, it has become even more exclusive during the past 3 years. Everything had to be rebuilt after the tsunami which destroyed almost whole region. I still think that despite of rains and less sunshine, this time of year can be fine there. The ocean isnt particularly rough at this region, even during the monsoon season. I dont think youre wasting your money by going there in October. |
