Hello, we are planning on traveling to Japan in a month or so. Due to Japan's economical standard the prices tend to rise extremely high considering the average tourist pocket. So our main concern is that we won't be able to have the chance and enjoy all the things Japan has to offer us. However there have been some rumors that the prices are getting friendlier, is that true?

Hello, there are many different places in Japan where you can get cheep accommodations and still have a great time. It is true that the majority of hotels will charge with a high price compared to some European countries. However if you are only interested in browsing the streets and having fun a fairly nice youth hostel, the Japanese style minshuku or even the gaijin houses will surely do it for you because even the low price accommodations in Japan have class. If you are worried about the food you will be eating, there are many newly opened fast food chains loved by the Japanese and are also very cheep however it is not healthy to consume it on a daily basis so I recommend the traditional Japanese noodles like Soba and Udon. You will also be able to shop as much as you like at stores that charge all their merchandise with the same price of 100 Yen. They are called the 100 Yen shops which are very convenient for travelers with a tight budget.
