I have a close relative whose sight is badly impaired and together with my wife I’d like to give him a cruise so that he can enjoy at least a bit. But the problem is that he has this service dog which helps him carry out some tasks and this great animal accompanies him wherever he goes. What I want to know is whether a service dog can be brought to a cruise. Thanks in advance!

That is so generous and noble of you! Those service dogs are really of a great help to disabled people because not only do they help them in everyday activities, but also they make them feel more secure. I don’t know how this works exactly but I suppose that your relative can obtain some kind of a license showing that the dog is not just an ordinary pet, but something that is almost necessity. In that case I really don’t think that anybody will make a problem about a service dog on a ship. Of course, maybe the procedure is a bit complicated because the dog should obtain all the medial and legal papers but I think that all this can be easily arranged.
